Native Programs

The programs are an opportunity for parents to set aside quality time to spend with their child(ren) during those crucial years between the ages of five and 13. Through these programs, each parent is setting aside a couple of hours a month for their child. The Y programs accomplish this by participating together in a variety of activities that nurture mutual understanding, love and respect between parent and child. A tribe consists of three to 10 parents and their children. They meet usually once a month in the members’ homes on a rotating basis.

Homeschool Physical Education

At the Y, nurturing the potential of every child and teen is our focus.  We believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve.  That’s why, through the Y, millions of youth today are cultivating the values, skills and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health and educational achievement. That’s why we are now offering a fun and energetic Homeschool P.E. Program.  Children, ages 6-14, will be able to participate in appropriate activities with other children of similar ages in the gym as well as the pool for a period of 5 weeks.  The gym portion of the program will include a number of games, sports and physical activities all while learning teamwork.  The swim portion will consist of the children learning the basic fundamentals of swimming and water safety, along with free swim time.
